How many times have you heard that…

…it’s better to eat five small meals a day rather than three large meals

…ESPECIALLY if you’re trying to lose weight?  And as with anything else, the validity of that statement is arguable.  But I’m not here to argue as to whether or not it’s true, I’m here to help those who DO believe it to be true to be able to DO it!

Now for some people, that’s an easy task to complete because they may eat that and then some.  But if you’re anything like me, I don’t have a very large appetite and sometimes eating even THREE meals a day is challenging, let alone five! Read the rest of this entry

Scale Back On Using The Scale

Scales can be our best friend, or our worst enemy!

You know how it is…as long as the numbers are reading in our favor, we’re pleased as punch…happy as can be!  But ohhh…let those numbers jump up or not move at all for a while then it’s ‘dooms day’ and we’re ready to throw the scale (along with any hope of losing weight) out the window!

When you’re working towards achieving your health and weight loss goals, it’s NOT a good idea to weigh in on a daily basis.  It’s tempting to do so, I know because I do it too; but my own personal experience as well as some of my research has shown that it’s not such a good idea.  Why?
