Weight Loss Tips You Can Count On

No one ever said that losing weight and getting healthy were going to be easy.

In fact, just about anyone would tell you the exact opposite. This may well be the hardest thing you have ever had to do.

But if you want it badly enough, though, you can use the information in this article to help guide you in the right direction.

 

Try new foods

Dieting to lose weight can be more fun if your switch things up a little.

There are hundreds of thousands of delicious food combinations out there.

A lot of them are surprisingly healthy for you. Try some out while you are dieting to avoid getting bored.

Drink ice water

When you do this, your body needs to burn calories to warm the water to your internal body temperature.

Drinking cold water allows you to burn calories without ingesting any calories and since water has no fat and is essential to the functioning of your body, it’s the perfect beverage at any time.

Be sure to pay attention to how your body reacts to drinking cold water, though, because in some people it causes bloating. So, if you notice an increase in bloat and being uncomfortable, try cutting back on or eliminating ice water to see if that IS the culprit or not.

Use red pepper flakes early in the day

Spicy foods in general help give a little boost to your metabolism and curb your appetite.

Research has shown that if you eat foods that incorporate red pepper flakes earlier in the day, you will eat less food later in the day. So, spice up your breakfast, late-morning snack or lunch with a little kick!

Make healthy choices

A diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats or other pure protein sources will help you feel satisfied while losing weight.

By avoiding fad diets you can change your eating habits, become generally healthier, save money, reach your target weight, and maintain it easily.

Keep your blood sugar levels even

By keeping your blood sugar levels even throughout the day, you will avoid that afternoon energy crisis that often results in you reaching for the nearest unhealthy snack.

Try eating five to seven small meals throughout the day, rather than three large ones. This way you will constantly feel full.

Control your portions

Eat less while tricking your mind into thinking you are eating more by simply downsizing to an 8″ salad plate for your main meals. Smaller servings can seem pretty skimpy when sitting on a larger dinner plate and might signal deprivation to your brain.

Switch those same servings to a cozy salad plate and you have the sense of enjoying a more robust meal. If you can convince your mind that you just had a normal meal, then your stomach won’t be too far behind!

You CAN lose weight and feel better than you have ever felt in your life.

With the right information and a ton of hard work, this thing that you want is within your reach.

If you use the advice offered here, you will be well on your way to a healthier, more active life.

What?! Make ramen noodles healthy? Yeah right!

I know it’s a stretch, but humor me and keep reading.

According to some, pasta isn’t the best thing in the world to eat and ramen is probably in the “stuck on the bottom of the barrel” of choices.

But times are tough for a lot of people who, as a result, are resorting to cheaper (crappier quality) foods in order to save money and simply SURVIVE during rough economic times.

I get it. Ramen noodles have definitely graced our pantry during both rough and not-so-rough times.

And since ramen noodles are probably one of THE most highly purchased cheap food items, and because I’m all about meeting people where they are, let’s try to make them at least a little healthier whether you feel “forced” to eat them or you just freakin’ LIKE eating them!
